Thanks for a great season!


Our 2018 season of the Mineral Point Market has come and gone. We had a great year and are so thankful to all of you for your continued support of our local vendors! You and your dedication to shopping local is what makes our market so wonderful!
We hope that you have a fabulous holiday season! And while many of our vendors hibernate during the winter there are a few that offer products throughout winter. If you missed your chance to get a gift or some holiday eats scroll down for more info on your favorite vendors and what's available throughout the winter.

Thanks for a great 2018 season! Miss the great products that we offered each week at market? The Patch is now open daily from 9 am - 6 pm for our winter egg sales. Other items available at the Patch include strawberry rhubarb pie, dilly beans, and local honey. James' Pine Valley Farm
Thank you to everyone who shopped our 2018 market through heat, rain and cold! I will have all of my chicken packages available throughout the winter:  whole chicken packages, half chicken packages, breast quarter packages and leg/thigh packages. Also neck packages, gizzard packages and heart/liver packages. The cold weather is here and so enjoy a nice bowl of chicken soup or the family will enjoy a roasted chicken hot from the oven. The Mineral Point Market is over, but the majority of our line of high quality, flavorful Pork and Black Angus Beef products are available throughout the winter for your eating enjoyment.

November 10th - Indoor Market at Aspen Ridge



This is it! Your last chance to stock up on your Mineral Point Market favorites! The Mineral Point Market will be in the greenhouse at Aspen Ridge Home & Garden once again this Saturday. There will be a limited number of Market vendors, but you can get your weekly supply of cheese, meats (huge extended sale at Marr's!), eggs, bakery, and produce. Don't forget all the great Christmas/Hostess gifts that can be found at market including consumables such as a box of pastries, pickled items, honey, and maple syrup. Thanks to Marsha Wyatt for hosting the MPM in her beautiful space this season!
Unfortunately, not all of our vendors are able to attend the indoor market. However, many of our vendors do offer products throughout winter so please continue to scroll down for more info on your favorite vendors.

Shooting Star Farm
Frozen weather is on the way. However, I managed to harvest some goodies in advance and will be at Aspen Ridge this Saturday for another indoor market. The standout this week are gorgeous heads of lettuce, deliciously sweetened by the weather. A smattering of other items will be available, too including baby bok choy, napa cabbage, curly kale, leeks, cilantro, bunched radishes, winter radishes, celery root, baby fennel, butternut and honey nut squash, popcorn, carrots, salad turnips, and yellow and red onions. Hope to see you there!

Wayne’s Woodworking and Engraving
I'm a small local woodworking shop specializing in a variety of handcrafted and engraved products. We have a variety of handcrafted cherry and butternut baskets, engraved wooden breadboards, rulers and key fobs. We also have needlework frames, a lap table and hand knit designer scarves. November 3rd - Indoor Market at Aspen Ridge



We're still going! Come up to Aspen Ridge Home and Garden during usual Market hours and support some of your favorite vendors. The Mineral Point Market will be in the greenhouse once again this Saturday. There will be a limited number of Market vendors, but you can get your weekly supply of cheese, meats (huge extended sale at Marr's!), eggs, bakery, produce, maybe a Christmas gift or two from Wayne's Woodworking, and get some bulbs and perennials for fall planting. Thanks to Marsha Wyatt for hosting so many local organizations in her beautiful space!

Shooting Star Farm
I’ll be back for another week of Market goodness in the greenhouse at Aspen Ridge. Thanks to everyone who came out last week. This week I’ll again have beautiful, big heads of lettuce from the hoophouse: green butter, romaine, red leaf, and green leaf varieties. All are tender, mild, and delicious. Other vegetables still available include salad turnips, winter radishes, French breakfast radishes (hopefully!), celery root, leeks, scallions, Swiss chard, curly kale, salad mix (limited amount), butternut and honey nut winter squash, shallots, red and yellow onions, napa cabbage, kohlrabi, fennel, orange and rainbow carrots, baby bok choy, cilantro, oregano, and thyme. Hope to see you Saturday!
Uplands Garden Club
The Uplands Garden Club will be offering several varieties of bulbs from their fall bulb sale. Money from the sale supports presenters for the meetings and grants for gardens in the area. Mineral Point Library, Soldier’s Memorial Park, Orchard Lawn, Shake Rag Alley, and Mineral Point Elementary School have benefited from these grants as well as other area organizations.
The educational programs are open to the public; the next program will be November 7th at 7pm at Stonefield Manor in Dodgeville featuring Megan Cain, Creative Vegetable Gardener from Madison.
So, come to Aspen Ridge Home and Garden and buy your bulbs for spring color in your garden and support a great cause. Planting directions will be included. For further information, contact Harriet Ridnour.
Wayne's Woodworking and Engraving
